Sabarimala row : What everybody is missing

For the first time ever,I'm pushing myself into a controversial and sensitive topic as I felt there is a need on my end to voice out my opinion with a belief to strike a chord at least with a few thinking minds.

Very outset, this is not women vs the world rift as being portrayed by few opportunists. Please be informed that the women only between ages 10 and 50 were not allowed and that too in this particular Lord Ayyappan temple alone. All the other Ayyappan temples do allow women of all ages. Now let's try to comprehend why would there be a restriction.

Every temple will have its own customs and traditions according to Agama Shastras( I heard in a disclosure, don't know any further details). For that matter, the customs vary even if the residing deity is same at two different temples depending upon the significance of the deity, place and its formation. What everybody is missing is this with the Sabarimala and rerouted the debate to women rights provoking the feminists.I strongly agree women for decades have been oppressed in our patriarchal society.Only of late, they have been  voicing out their opinions and still there is a long road to travel.Let's not mix that anguish to any scenario that surfaces connected to women in one way or the other.I admit that I have no knowledge of what Shastras mentioned about the restriction but I  do believe that vedas or our elders have formulated rules with a perspective.I do not want to presume that we know everything and the ancients doesn't know anything either.

The Shastras prescribed various vrathas(austerity period) to men and women for their worldly and spiritual benefits.Certain Vrathas allow spiritual progress together while few doesn't.

Few of them can be performed together like Satyanarayana Vratham.
Few of them can be performed only by women like Varalakshmi Vratham.
Few of them are meant for only men like Ayyapan Deeksha.

It is as simple as this, just follow them.If you think from this angle and understand the significance of the deity and the vratham, why would there be any indifference. If women are not allowed to any Ayyappan temples, then comes the women rights. If men are not allowed to any temples, then comes the men rights.

Remember the visit to the Sabarimala temple happens after observing 41 day austerity period(Vratham) by men.Observing celibacy, teetotalism and not to use any profanity are part of the this strict period.I think that the rules were postulated keeping the men devotees in mind observing the austerity but not from the Deity's perspective as he is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent and everybody is equal to him and no rules apply to him.But to trigger wider bedlam and provoke feminists, opportunists take his name.

For example, imagine my reaction in below two scenarios, you will understand.

Scenario 1: "He doesn't want Venu to enter the room"
Scenario 2: "Venu, you are advised not to enter the room as he is in a meeting"

Finally,I would like to conclude saying that the devil is always in the detail.Let's not give advantage to the opportunists to use us.
